The Activity Center Assistant Leader or The Activity Center Leader duties will include, but not be limited to:
· Planning, programming and leading age-appropriate activities for 5-12 year olds in a recreation setting
· Supervision of children
· Planning programs includes but is not limited to games, sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
· Assisting the Activity Center Leader with site supervision, discipline and all other aspects of programming
· Some locations may require additional experience or qualification.
· In addition to the above roles, The Activity Center Leader ($20.12) will provide supervision, mentoring and coaching to part time employees, volunteer and interns
Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.
This position may be filled as an Activity Center Leader ($20.12 per hour) or Activity Center Assistant Leader ($18.48 per hour). Determination based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and position availability.
Activity Center Leader position will require possession of a valid Medical Administration Training (MAT) certification, or the ability to obtain the certification within six (6) months of employment. Medical Administration Training–Diabetes (MAT-D) certification may be required based on participant needs and staff placement.
