Program Supervisor

Greene County Department of Parks & Recreation is seeking an energetic and experienced professional to serve as a full time Program Supervisor.  This position plays a key role in enhancing the quality of life in our community by planning, developing, coordinating, and evaluating a wide range of recreation programs, special events, and community services.  Responsibilities include program administration, marketing and outreach, budget management, and support of park operations.  Work is performed under the general direction of the parks and recreation director.  The positition provides direct supervisor to part-time staff and volunteers and may serve as acting director in their absence.  The ideal candidate is organized, creative, and passionate about community programming, with strong leadership and communication skills.  This a full-time, exempt position scheduled for 40 hours per week, with flexibility required based on programming needs.  This role includes evening hours and regular weekend responsibilities, with approximately half of the Saturdays worked throughout the calendar year.
