What You'll Be Doing
This is a professional supervisory and administrative position. Work is done in planning, organizing, coordinating, and supervising the fitness areas and associated programs for the Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department at the Ida Lee Recreation Center. Work involves administrative and personnel functions, safety inspections, assistance in the development and implementation of fitness classes, and the promotion of fitness activities.

Required Qualifications

Possession of a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, physical education, or recreation. Minimum of two (2) years of progressively responsible work in fitness operations, group exercise programming and personal training management or a related field; or equivalent combination of accepted education, training and experience. CPR, AED and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within three (3) months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in fitness instruction, aquatic fitness instruction, or nutrition. Current CPR, AED and First Aid certification. Bilingual in English/Spanish.
