Position Overview:
The Workforce and Community Resilience Director is a key member of Groundwork RVA’s Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the Deputy Director. This full-time, exempt position is responsible for leading and expanding Groundwork RVA’s Green Infrastructure Apprenticeship Program and overseeing the Community Resilience Team’s fee-for-service and ArborCare projects across Richmond.
This position is grant-funded for the life of a current grant (four years), with continuation dependent on future funding.
Responsibilities:
○ Oversee tree planting and maintenance to ensure that correct tree species are planted and maintained in accordance with the City’s SOP’s and grant deliverables. Building and maintaining strong relationships with partners and the communities we serve.
○ Coordination with others in the Richmond City Urban and Community Forestry Coalition, and Groundwork USA network, to ensure project outputs, and best climate and resilience impact from new trees being planted.
○ Develop detailed quotes for projects and grant proposals
○ Creating timelines, equipment and materials schedules
○ Tracking performance, time-to-task efficiency and costs in time and materials
○ Ensure timely and accurate input of staff time for payroll
○ Develop bi-weekly and quarterly program reports for the leadership team and board review. ○ Maintain work and expense records for grant reports and audits.

Compensation
Competitive salary, commensurate with qualifications, within an anticipated range of $60,000-$80,000.
