The Prince William County Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) is seeking a motivated and professional Landscape Architect with a passion for parks and the outdoors who will help plan and design high-quality parks and recreation facilities for Prince William County residents and visitors. This is a career-defining opportunity to assist DPR with expanding and improving our parks and recreation inventory through innovative and sustainable design, with a focus on developing park master plans and designs that are creative, engage the local community, and improve the quality of life for County residents.

DPR is seeking a Landscape Architect to join our team of talented planners and project managers for one of Virginia’s most beautiful and robust park systems. The new team member will apply their landscape architecture and design skills to a wide variety of park projects, including park master plans, historic sites, recreational amenities, and trails. We are looking for a dedicated professional who will help expand the range of recreational amenities offered in our parks and design these amenities in new and innovative ways. The most suitable applicant is someone who is familiar with park master planning processes and able to take direction from senior staff, stakeholders, and the public to develop solutions that are fresh and creative. Familiarity with site planning/analysis and experience in park-oriented projects is desired. Our end goal is to provide the highest quality park and recreation facilities that best serve the needs and desires of County residents, so the successful applicant should also have a desire to work in the public sector.
