The CAPRA-accredited Prince William County Department of Parks & Recreation (DPR) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Assistant Chief Park Ranger. This role supports the department’s mission by overseeing park safety, staff development, and community engagement.
The Assistant Chief Park Ranger, in close collaboration with the Assistant Director of Security Operations, is directly responsible for the training, development, coaching, and accountability of their assigned personnel. The Assistant Chief Park Ranger will lead a diverse workforce of seasonal, part-time and full-time Park Ranger staff that provide security and educational training throughout Prince William County. This position will generally work five days a week and may be eligible to work remotely with the approval of the Assistant Director of Security Operations.
