Member Services Office Supervisor Duties:
Our Member Services Office Supervisor oversee the Member Services Unit which serves as out communication and information hub of our Recreation Centers providing extensive and direct legendary customer service. Our Recreation Centers are open seven days a week from early morning to late night, including most holidays. Specific duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Office Management and Supervision
Financial Accountability
Customer Service and Sales
Administrative Office Operations
Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department needs.
Must be available to work a consistent varied schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays to facilitate facility operations. Typical weekday shifts include 4:45 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., mid-shift of 10;00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., closing shift of 1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and weekend shifts of Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m..
MINIMUMS: High school or GED plus five (5) years, including one (1) in a supervisory capacity, in fields providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities and associated with such positions as administrative secretary or office manager; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies. Must be available to work evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime when required to meet operational needs.
Starting salary is Non-negotiable at $46,904.00.

Work location may change based on operational needs.
This is an Alpha I position, which requires reporting to work during periods of emergency or inclement weather, regardless of the City’s operational status.
First Responder certification required within 4 months of hire.
Requires a current and valid Driver’s license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV driver’s license eligibility requirements.
As a condition of employment, all employees must attend P&R Connection (Department Orientation). If selected for the position, you will be provided an approximate training date at the time of hire. Training is held from 8:30am-5:00pm, every other Friday, at the Parks & Recreation Administration Building. When an exemption is permittable, a hybrid version of the training is available, but will require training attendance on a weekend.
