Coordinator - Parks and Outdoor Programs

POSITION SUMMARY: The Coordinator – Parks and Outdoor Programs for the Town of Wytheville
works directly with the Athletics Coordinator to oversee and prepare parks, ballfields, and athletic facilities
for use during various athletic games, clinics, programs or special events. This may include lining, striping,
dragging, mowing as needed, and scheduling of indoor athletic facility maintenance. This position will also
work with the Community Programs Coordinator to ensure that facilities and parks are prepared for special
events and schedules training, development and maintenance of the indoor Rockwall space and assists with
all special events, including Summer Concerts, and holiday specific events as needed. This position will
directly oversee the Crystal Springs Recreation area, including maintenance coordination with the Town of
Wytheville Public Works department for future trail and park updates and improvements and will be tasked
with the redevelopment of Outdoor Programs. This will include leading of hiking, biking, boating, climbing
programs within the town and reasonable driving range of the Town of Wytheville.
