Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is currently seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Senior Trip Assistant. This role supports the Senior Trip Coordinator in determining program eligibility, arranging program events, coordinating facility use, managing related program activity expenses, maintaining an activity database, providing information about activities, supervising volunteers, and offering additional support to the program as needed. Providing good customer service in person and electronically.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
• PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, Leesburg, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Operates a passenger vehicle and transports citizens safely.
• Engages in outreach initiatives to highlight the advantages of the program to prospective participants. Discovers strategies and locations to disseminate information regarding programs and activities.
• Offers customer support via phone and by helping customers who visit in person.
• Preserves confidential records of participants, encompassing information required for emergencies. Finalizes data entry into the specified systems utilized by the program.
• Utilizes automated systems and various software to assist customers efficiently.
• May carry out additional critical job responsibilities pertinent to the specific role and departmental assignment.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent; six months of driving experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo criminal, DMV, and credit background checks. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. Annual reviews of driving records may be conducted to maintain eligibility.
This position requires a CDL (Class C with Passenger Endorsement) learner’s permit within 3 months and a license within 6 months of hire. Must comply with the DOT regulations and Alcohol and Controlled Substance Testing Policy for Transportation Employees. First Aid/CPR certifications at hire or within four (4) months.
