The Parks and Recreation Lead Aide duties will include, but not be limited to:
Providing customer service and enforce rules and regulations
Supervising part time staff and volunteers
Perform custodial duties including cleaning and maintaining all parts of the public restrooms and empty large park trash cans
Provide routing maintenance and construction of park areas, amenities and equipment
Travel and care for satellite park locations
Individual will work in an outdoor environment in various weather conditions
Assist with and/or manage special event participation, set up or break down
Report incidents/accident and discrepancies
Some locations require clean up and supervision of open range dog parks
Open and close facilities
Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less. Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor based on the current workloads and department need
Minimum Requirements:
High school or GED plus six(6) months related experience or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Some positions may require a current and valid Virginia or North Carolina drivers license in accordance with Virginia or North Carolina DMV drivers license eligibility requirements.
