We are currently seeking qualified and motivated individuals for the position of Recreation Programmer. As a Recreation Programmer, you will play a key role in the development, implementation, and oversight of a wide range of programs and events. This position is instrumental in transforming our facility into a dynamic, inclusive, and vibrant hub for all community members.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Design, implement, and manage a variety of recreational programs tailored to the needs and interests of youth, teens, adults, and seniors.
• Engage directly with community members to assess needs and ensure that programming is inclusive and accessible, with a particular focus on underserved and hard-to-reach populations.
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase program visibility and participation, including the creation of promotional materials such as flyers, news releases, direct mail, newsletters, advertisements, and digital content.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee special events from concept to completion, including marketing, logistics, budgeting, permitting, and staffing.
• Supervise part-time instructors and/or seasonal camp staff, including responsibilities related to recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and training.
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and stakeholders to foster a positive and engaging environment for program participants.
• Utilize various software systems, including recreation management software, Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Trello, and others, to deliver efficient program administration and excellent customer service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned, in alignment with departmental goals and operational needs.
Work Schedule: This position offers a flexible timetable aligned with operational hours. It is essential to be available on weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
High School Diploma or equivalent; two years of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• One (1) year of supervisory experience in a related field.
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• One (1) year of experience managing large-scale events and conducting outreach activities in a community setting.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
