The Falls Church Recreation and Parks Department is looking for an energetic individual to support the community events and programming offered by the City! Work will be performed under the general supervision of the Recreation Supervisor. Special events include our Egg Hunt, Memorial Day Parade and Festival, Independence Day Celebration, Sunset Cinemas, Falls Church Festival, Farm Day, Halloween Carnival, Holiday Craft Show, and more. This individual will also assist in the planning and implementation of historic programs and events offered at the Cherry Hill Farmhouse as well as art and culture initiatives in the City.
The successful candidate should have a strong interest in community-focused special events. An ideal candidate is flexible and able to work during typical business hours as well as events taking place on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Hours: Part-time, averaging 15-20 hours/week. Hours and shifts will vary. Individual will work flexible planning hours during typical business hours coordinated with their supervisor. The individual will also work events and programs that typically fall on evenings, weekends, and holidays.
