Job Summary

The Loudoun County Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services is seeking qualified applicants for available Seasonal Outdoor Maintenance positions currently. This position entails carrying out custodial and maintenance support tasks for the County, in alignment with the instructions provided by the appointed supervisor. The role involves carrying out inspections, executing general maintenance tasks both indoors and outdoors, delivering meals, cleaning delivery vehicles, transporting vehicles for repairs, assisting skilled or semi-skilled technicians, maintaining cleanliness in bathrooms and kitchens, mopping floors, arranging tables and chairs, and disposing of trash.

• Hal and Bernie Hanson Regional Park, 22914 Hanson Park Drive, Aldie, VA
• Franklin Park, 17501 Franklin Park Drive, Purcellville, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Carries out custodial and maintenance tasks in indoor and outdoor locations.
• Transports vehicles to designated locations.
• Assists with maintenance and repairs.
• It is possible that other essential duties related to the specific role and department may be performed.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; prefer six (6) months of related work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Prefer applicants ages 18 & up to be approved to drive County vehicles for essential job duties.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo criminal background and DMV checks. A valid driver’s license and good driving record are required. Driving records may be assessed on an annual basis to ensure ongoing eligibility. Annually complete a sworn disclosure statement or affirmation disclosing any criminal convictions or pending criminal charges and/or First Aid/CPR certifications immediately upon hire; and/or OSHA Bloodborne pathogens training within 30 days of hire.
