ACCOUNT CLERK II - Out-of-School Time Registration Management Team job duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Serve as a member of the Out-of-School Time Programs Registration Management Team. This team is responsible for ensuring the Child Care Program Registration Standards are met and customer accounts are accurate and financially up to date.
MINIMUMS:
High school or GED plus two (2) years experience in fields providing the required knowledge, skills and abilities, such as clerical accounting or bookkeeping; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.
May require a passing score of 30 words per minute on a typing test.
This position is being advertised as a pool, and applications will be used to fill current vacancies and any other similar Account Clerk II positions that become available within six (6) months from the closing date of this posting.
Out-of-School Time Programs operate Monday – Friday, from 6:30am – 6pm with occasional weekends and extended nights during peak registration periods and training. This position requires at least one open (6:15am – 2:45pm) and one closing (9:30am – 6pm) shift Monday – Thursday and rotating Fridays. Work shifts may be extended until after the last child is picked up at the end of programs, with the possibility of working split shifts. Additionally, supervisors are expected to be available as needed to meet the needs of staff and customers.
This is an Alpha I position, which requires reporting to work during periods of emergency or inclement weather, regardless of the City’s operational status.
Requires a current and valid Driver’s license.
As a condition of employment, all employees must attend P&R Connection (Department Orientation). If selected for the position, you will be provided an approximate training date at the time of hire. Training is held from 8:30am-5:00pm, every other Friday, at the Parks & Recreation Administration Building. When an exemption is permittable, a hybrid version of the training is available, but will require training attendance on a weekend.
