Job Summary

We invite qualified applicants to apply for a full-time administrative assistant position available in the Children's Programs division. Children's Programs deliver extensive services and activities to a diverse array of Loudoun County residents and visitors, operating across 60 sites for after-school programs and camps designed for school-aged children. This role involves offering administrative assistance, gathering and organizing data, preparing various forms, responding to phone and email inquiries, aiding both internal and external clients in form completion, addressing standard program inquiries, performing data entry tasks, managing the ordering and distribution of supplies, handling mail processing, coordinating meetings, and drafting correspondence and documents. The perfect candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills, maintain a keen attention to detail, possess effective time management skills, and be capable of working independently.

• PRCS, 742 Miller Drive SE, Leesburg, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Assists departmental programs by delivering administrative support for special projects and a variety of functions and meetings.
• Inputs, updates, and retrieves data from databases, files, and systems associated with the Department; conducts research to identify and resolve database errors in assigned databases; may produce data-related reports; and efficiently organizes and tracks files in storage.
• Responsible for preparing requests for office supplies, equipment, and services.
• It is possible that other essential duties related to the specific role and departmental assignment will be performed.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of related clerical/administrative work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Office Management, Business Administration or related field.

Must undergo criminal, credit, and DMV background checks. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are necessary for job-related responsibilities. Occasionally, it may be required to perform duties beyond the typical workday schedule.
