Job Summary

Loudoun County's Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Service is seeking qualified applicants for a full-time Customer Service Assistant to serve in person at the main office. Following the directives of the designated supervisor, the individual is tasked with providing customer service and administrative support for the assigned department. This role is centered on welcoming customers, providing services, information, and assistance to the public, while also managing daily tasks such as handling mail, phone & email communications, room reservations, filing, registration, fee collection, counter assistance, and providing support to coworkers. Successful candidates will have exceptional communication and time management skills while maintaining a positive mindset in a high-volume front desk position.

We are currently hiring for the following location(s):
• PRCS, 742 Miller Drive, SE, Leesburg, VA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Delivers polite and prompt customer service to County personnel, vendors, residents, and other visitors; directs customers to the relevant staff members.
• Responsible for the upkeep of participant files and records as required for effective program management and evaluation.
• Manages booking and operations of the conference room.
• It is possible that other essential duties related to the specific role and department may be performed as required.

The designated work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with the potential for early morning hours to accommodate registrations as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of related work experience in a clerical position involving contact with the public and working with automated systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree
• Experience with RecTrac or similar software systems.
• Microsoft Office Skills, customer service, and cash handling experience strongly preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.

Job Contingencies and Special Requirements

Must undergo credit, DMV, and Child Protective Services (CPS) background checks. Driver's license must be valid and driving record must be good. The driver's record may be subject to an annual review to ensure ongoing qualification. The work schedule is subject to modification based on operational hours and may encompass both weekdays and weekends to meet business requirements and accommodate periods of high facility usage.
