Essential Functions:

Supervises assigned staff; assigns and reviews work; appraises employee performance; maintains standards; responds to employee problems; recommends promotions, discipline, termination and salary increases; hires and trains new employees; mentors full-time staff and develops performance plans for employees.

Develops and maintains a rental program facilities and picnic pavilions; reviews and determines appropriate fees for use of facilities; manages, reviews and checks cash procedures; accounts for all funds; resolves customer service issues; determines facility and programmatic needs based on customer preferences and operational resources; coordinates center use for rental activities, special events, training, and celebrations.

Oversees a team of full-time and part-time staff that supervise building operations and perform regular maintenance and custodial care for facilities; tracks and implements regular maintenance, inspections, and regular inventory of custodiam and maintenance supplies; resolves emergency maintenance or custodial items; manages contracted services and supplies related to maintenance and custodial care; checks and reviews safety, fire and building codes; clearly marks area undergoing maintenance work.

Manages facility systems maintenance; checks and analyzes all systems within the facilities; arranges and schedules services for building systems; arranges for supplies and services needed for scheduled center activities; implements asset replacement schedule; issues contracts and center use permits; develops and maintains specifications for contracted services; 

Develops and uses performance metrics, checklists, and other methods to track community impact and success of areas of responsibility; Assists in the budget preparation and reporting process for facilities; Monitors expenditures and revenues for the facilities; Tracks needs through budget and performance metrics;  

Develops, reviews and analyzes procedure manuals; prepares correspondence, project and operations reports, council and board meeting information and agenda memos.

Additional Duties:

Maintains collaborative and working relationships with Town staff, boards, commissions, the community, organizations and other agencies.

Attends regularly scheduled staff meetings and work sessions as required.

Performs related work as assigned or required.

Minimum Training and Experience

Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/courses in Business Administration, Public Administration, Facility Management, Personnel Management, Parks and Recreation Management, or closely related area. 

Requires four or more years of full-time experience supervising facilities, large events, public assembly operations, or closely related experience. *Additional years of experience may supplement education requirement*

Special Certifications and Licenses:

Must possess a valid state driver’s license.

Must possess or be able to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications within six months of employment.

CPRP or CPRE certification Preferred
