This position is primarily responsible for routine care of facilities, grounds, trails, restrooms and assisting park rangers with various projects as needed. Applicants must be able to lift 50 lbs, hike trails of varying difficulty, and be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions. The shift hours for this position may vary; weekly hours will vary seasonally. Applicants must be available to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled. Position is limited to 1500 hours May 1 through April 30.
This position will be responsible for, but not limited to: Recurring grounds care, mowing/weed eating, routine restroom cleaning, stocking supplies, trash pickup, trail clean up, facility maintenance, and basic plumbing/electrical/carpentry tasks as necessary. Operating a variety of hand tools and cleaning tools to include, but not limited to, hammers; hand saws; hand pruners; loppers; shovels; mops, brooms, dusters, etc. Operating power tools may include, but not limited to, mowers, tractors, weed eaters, pressure washer, blower, paint sprayer, circular saw; reciprocating saw; drills of various types and operating specialized equipment including UTVs, and mowers. Performing routine maintenance on all equipment used. Interacting with the public to include answering questions and providing information.

A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
