Housekeeping Ranger Lead

Primary focus includes supervising Housekeepers in the absence of the Park Ranger-Housekeeping. Duties include prioritizing and delegating work assignments, inspecting park facilities for cleanliness, and taking the proper steps to address any cleanliness deficiencies. The incumbent of this position will also focus on proper and prompt cleaning of cabins, restrooms, campground bathhouses, and other park structures. Efficient turnover of overnight facilities before check-in time and ability to work with little to no direct supervision. Will be responsible for inventorying cabin supplies to ensure they are available for the next guest. Performs the light maintenance and cleaning tasks necessary to operate state park facilities. May be required to perform other park-related duties during emergencies or on a non-recurrent basis.

Minimum Qualifications: Must possess a valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Successful candidates should possess a basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and basic cleaning supplies. Must be able to work well with other staff and park guests. Requires standing, bending, and walking in the outdoors exposed to the elements. Must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.

 

Additional Considerations: Experience supervising staff, and experience cleaning overnight rental facilities.

Special Requirements:

A valid State Driver's License is required to operate a state vehicle or if operating a personal vehicle while conducting business on behalf of the agency.
