The hiring amount for this position is $19.00 or $19.50 an Hour ($39,520.00 or $40,560.00 Annually). Starting offer is based on applicable education, experience, and internal equity. This is a full-time, non-exempt, position which provides excellent benefits including 13 paid holidays plus 1 floating holiday, paid vacation and sick leave, health insurance options with employer contribution, employer-paid life insurance, City's retirement options, gym membership reimbursement (up to $34 a month), tuition reimbursement (up to $3,000 per fiscal year), and continuing education/training opportunities.
This position, in the absence of the Seasonal Pool Manager, manages the facility and has all of the responsibilities designated for the manager on duty. This includes pool operations, staff supervision, customer service and pool maintenance. Supervision is exercised over Lifeguard I, Customer Service Attendants, Instructors and other temporary, seasonal positions. Performs responsible semi-skilled and routine protective service work in supervising the safe use of public swimming facilities by pool visitors and aids troubled bathers in emergencies; performs related duties as required. Reports to the Seasonal Pool Manager or a Parks and Recreation Operations Specialist.
